Nintendo DS v. Sony PSP

For Christmas for Stonewall I'm getting him either the Nintendo DS or the PSP. The plan is for him to be able to use this while deployed as he loves his video games. He already has an iPod and a portable DVD player, so once he has his portable video game system he'll be set. However, I don't know which one is going to be the best buy. Anyone out there have any opinions/reviews about these two systems? They would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hubs had the Nintendo DS, but wanted the PSP for his deployment. His DS is 3 years old and in his world he considers it obsolete. Boy justification, I suppose. I bought him the red PSP when he was supposed to deploy because most of the guys in his unit have the PSP and they can "share" games. Yeah? Then why did we have to buy so many if they are going to share? Anyway, he loves his PSP..not sure if it's just because it's new or if it's really all that grand. I don't play with either so I don't have much input other than that. :)

I, personally, like the GBDS better, though the graphics for action games tend to be better on the PSP. It really depends on what kind of games he plays. I play those games like the one with the dogs...so cute. But, then again, I am a girl. I know my brother wants a PSP because, as he said to me the other day "it's so freaking awesome!"

Well, that's probably not too helpful, but *fingers crossed* :)

Enjoy!
