The Nursery

The nursery is pretty much finished! The only thing left to do is hang the mobile up over the crib. My mom is also going to paint a poem over the crib, but I'm actually rethinking that. I'm afraid it might be too much because there's already a lot going on in the room. Anyway, here are some photos:

This is the mural my mom and sister drew and painted! I absolutely love it!

This lamp was the inspiration for the mural.

The mobile will hang from the ceiling above the crib. This way as the baby gets older I can shorten the mobile rather than having to take it off the crib and put it away. My mom also made the mobile.

This had been a really ugly chair that we got from my Grandma, but a new blue recliner cover and now it's comfy and good looking. As you can see we already have lots of camo going on. Welcome to the Army, baby. We also have a few hand-me-downs as well. The white lamb sitting on the bottom shelf was mine when I was a baby and the blanket on the chair is made from Stonewall's blanket when he was a toddler.

Such cute tiny shoes! I'm in awe over how tiny all the baby clothes are.

My favorite Target find!

I don't know. Freud or someone might say that based on an analysis of the monkey whoever drew it has one large nostril and extra large feet :D

So I just read an article in Science World Magazine and guess what they just found proof of... People with extra large extremities and imperfect orifices are much more intelligent than people without. Hmmm... go figure :)
