I've tried all the old wives' tales that supposedly get labor going. Let me tell ya...they don't work! I've tried spicy food, walking (well, walked...waddled...potato...pahtahto), raspberry tea, sex, and an enema. Stupid wives. What do they know?
We had a doctor's appointment this morning. I had a very uncomfortable pelvic exam and my cervix is about as thin as it can get. They did a fetal non-stress test and everything with the baby is completely normal. I go back again on Friday for all the same tests and at that point, if I haven't gone into labor they will scheduled me to be induced on Monday.
On the up side, I've been able to get all my Christmas shopping done. All the gifts are wrapped and ready to go! On the downside, I have gifts for my baby under the tree, "2008 Baby's 1st Christmas" ornaments on the tree and a husband that leaves again on January 2. *Sigh*
Sorry for the Debbie Downer moment.
Anyway...

My first was EXACTLY one week late. Well, one week and a couple of hours. I'm sure you'll be fine and deliver soon. Probably ON Christmas. ;) I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I remember how discouraging it gets each day you go past the due date without a baby.

Oh man, I feel for ya =} I hope you have the baby soon. I know how miserable it is that last stretch!
My hubby left on Jan 2nd of 2008 for deployment. He literally just got back. But in the mean time, if you need anything, holler =}

Ugh! I'm sorry it's taking so long! Sex did kick it into gear for my second one, but I'd been having contractions for weeks so I think he was pretty much ready to go anyway. My first one, if I hadn't had to be induced a week early, would have been like yours though, I think. It took FOREVER to get that labor going! I will be praying he decides to make his grand appearance ASAP!
