While I was still pregnant I would read in my magazines about parents clipping their babies' finger- and toenails. The advice given would be to wait until the baby was asleep because it was too difficult to clip while the baby was awake. Silly me, at the time I was like, "Seriously? How hard is it to clip some fingernails?"Well, lesson learned a few weeks ago and so this afternoon found me hunched over Lil' Mootz while he was sleeping clipping away and trying desperately not to startle him awake.

I cut dash-2's too short once and it must have bled like a gunshot wound for hours. I thought I was going to lose it, really, I felt awful. But now, now I could cut the nails on a greased pig. Practice my dear, and you will be able too as well. : )
I remember my sister calling me when my nephew was born talking on and on about clipping his nails. I think I thought the same thing....just another reason I'm not ready for children.
I'm not sure if you're still nursing or not, but I used to trim Fuzz's nails while I did that. She was already sitting still and I didn't have to worry about waking her.
