Looking Ahead To The Future

Apparently, I am not properly preparing myself for the future.

1) I have a friend that is going through a very difficult time with her husband and within the past week things took a dramatic turn for the worst. Well, she had to fill her boss in on some of the things that were going on and her boss's words of wisdom were, "You should have started planning for this months ago, so you would be financially secure to live on your own."

2) My brother-in-law's ex-wife told my sister-in-law that her bridemaids for her second wedding wore tea length dresses. However, she had some second thoughts on the matter, "I really like the tea length dresses, but I also really like the idea of floor length gowns. So when I married Joel I thought, 'Next time I get married, I'll have them wear floor length gowns.'" (And btw, she is planning that wedding now.)

I guess I need get to get ahead of the game here and start saving for the day I might leave my husband and planning what my bridesmaids will wear at my next wedding.

On second thought, planning for the future is so overrated.

PS. Thank you so much to everyone who gave me awards. You are all so awesome! I will get around to posting about them within the next day or so.

lol Should I plan for the future too?!

It makes me sad when wives have to plan especially when they know things are bad or they want out. Super sad!

Have a good Wednesday! :)

Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. I've added you to my list of blogs that I like to read.

I never plan anything in life. Planning is the last thing I want to do as an Army wife. It's sad that some people just don't get it though!

Hope you're having a great week.

hmmm, it's interesting my father always say "Failure to Plan, is Planning to Fail." I don't think it applies to a marriage though. If you're looking ahead, to the "end" of your marriage why bother getting married in the first place? Maybe we're just niave and out of touch-- but I thought marriage was a 'once in a lifetime' sort of deal..?
