Thank goodness I don't have to wait until the end of October for a vacation.I only have to wait until the end of July though! We're going to Chincoteague for a week and I can not wait!
Chincoteague was our vacation spot when I was little. However, when the motel that we stayed at for over 10 years asked to NOT come back, we stopped going. During Stonewall's first deployment R&R we decided to go to Chincoteague for a long weekend. It was so cool to go back to the place I had been to every year when I was a kid. It was so different, but still so much the same. Last year, we took a giant family vacation there for Stonewall before he left for his deployment. We had a blast!
We decided to go back again this year! We're going at the end of July which is Pony Penning, Chincoteague's big event of the year. I've never been there for Pony Penning and I am so excited to be there for it for the first time with Lil' Mootz. (If you don't know anything about Pony Penning, you can read about it here.)
Also, my best friend, Carsley and her husband, Brent, are flying up from Grand Cayman to go with us. Granted, they live on the beach in Grand Cayman, so Chincoteague itself isn't nearly as exciting. However, they'll be meeting Lil' Mootz for the first time and the company will be so much better than the company on Grand Cayman.
And that's really what matters. :)

So I checked out shabbyblogs.com and i found a background i love. How did you get yours to be wide enough to fit all three columns? they seem pre-made for 2...
Oh.My.Gosh... I can't believe you're going there!!! I read all of the Misty books when I was little and even saw the movie, haha.
I would KILL to go to the pony penning (especially if I got to partake in it!).
Wow.. Take LOTS of pictures (for me!). Might I ask why you were asked not to return to the motel? lol

AH HA! I finally am able to get back on your page! That was weird. Not sure if you read my last post but I made a remark about this very thing on it...I haven't been able to get on your blog for weeks so forgive me for not commenting in a while! Its good to be back:)
I love the beach, thankfully I only live a little more than an hour away from the Outer Banks (NC).
