We bought and decorated our tree on Sunday. With this being Lil Mootz's first Christmas everything is a bit more exciting than what it usually is. Picking out a tree isn't my favorite thing to do, but it was exciting getting Lil Mootz all bundled up and taking him to the tree farm. Lil Mootz wanted to touch the trees and play with the snow on their branches. Once we got the tree set up he was fascinated by the lights. He kept trying to grab the lights and the ornaments. It's so neat and fun to watch Lil Mootz experience new things, especially during his first Christmas season.

Once we finished decorating and Lil Mootz was thoroughly worn out and we had put him to bed, Stonewall and I turned off all the lights except for the tree lights, turned on some Christmas music, made ourselves hot chocolate and relaxed on the couch.
This past year has been one crazy/beautiful year. And leaning against my husband and watching the lights on our Christmas tree blur all together I am so grateful that we are here together in our house, on our couch, enjoying our tree, about to celebrate our son's first Christmas.

How cute!! Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday. Last year was Grace's first Christmas but this is the first year she can actually enjoy it. She loves to play with the ornaments on the tree so we put plastic ones on the bottom just for her to pull off and put back on :-)
