My Dream Home

I found my dream home last night. When I build it sometime in the next 40 years, I'll invite you all over for a nice little housewarming party.

(We tried to refinance our current home, but because the economy is doing so well the value of our house went down over $30,000. The odds of us selling anytime in the next 20 years is pretty slim...)

The plans are by The House Designers and it's called Vida de la Confianza. (I have no idea what that means, but it sounds pretty.) It's a little over 1600 square feet if you don't include the bonus rooms on the second floor.  Plus, it has a lanai!  Yeah, I don't know exactly what that is, but the pictures of it look spectacular.

The pool would definitely be included.

Floor plans
There would be some minor changes, such as extending all of the bedrooms to the right, so the second and third bedrooms could each get their own bathrooms, rather than sharing a bathroom.

So there you have it. My house...eventually.  What does your dream house look like?

I want that one too! we could be neighbors. The whole damn street could be as charming as that house. And how lucky would a street be to have us both?

Mine is definitely not that big. We have a smallish 'starter' house right now (that we rent). It's just fine for us. Except I'd need a bigger kitchen. And OccDoc wants an attached garage. And I have to have a room for my bunnies. Other than that I haven't envisioned our dream house yet.

Love the house! Put it on 15 acres and have add a guestroom and I could live there. =) Our dream house is a lot of sketches in my head that don't match up to a cohesive unit yet. I want a large farm kitchen, wrap around porch, master suite w/2 person jacuzzi tub overlooking a valley/pond/river and a wraparound porch.

It's very pretty. I even love the landscaping. And our house has gone up in value since we bought it two years ago.... meaning our property taxes will be going up, also. It's better for the value to go down when you plan on living in a house - and values to go up when you plan on selling.
