And I'm back at work. Part-time, anyway. My maternity leave is over and Lil' Mootz is in daycare. It was definitely harder on me than on him. I didn't cry, but it was a little hard to leave him. I did have to force myself to walk out of the room and not run back to him for one more kiss. Lil' Mootz, on the other hand, was busy looking at all the other babies. He even started making friends. He was sitting on my lap, taking it all in, and baby-talking to a few of the other babies. Yes, he actually started communicating with the other babies. It was cute. My social little butterfly.
So, yeah...
Well, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things here at work. We had a change of insurance while I was gone, so I need to familiarize myself with that.
Now that I'm starting to feel like I'm getting back to life and it isn't just Lil' Mootz and me anymore, I'm going to get back to all of you, as well. For the past week, I haven't read many blogs and I'm feeling really out of the loop here. I also have quite a few post ideas that I really want to get up.
So, that's that. Have a great Monday!

Oh that has to be a weird adjustment!!! I hope it goes easily for you both :)
you did a very grown up thing today! and it's such a hard thing to do. As for you, mom [ oh, you thought I was talking to you? nah, Mootz and me were chitchattin' here!]
Mom - it's harder for you than your little flutterby there. you'll do great.

Oh bless your heart! I know it must have been a hard day for you. I remember when my sister went back after my niece was born, I thought she needed to seek help! At least its just part time!
I am very close to my nephews and when they finally had to go to daycare I was so upset! I wasn't even their mother:p I'm not looking forward to the day when my own kids have to go...Good luck with your first week back to work!
it is tough at first... trust me. But once you get used to it. You will be an old pro.
Aw, Lil' Mootz sounds like such a cutie!
I'm glad you're back!
It's funny how babies can make you weak in the knees all the while giving you the strength to leave. He was comfortable and holding his own, already making friends... Well I don't have any kiddos yet but my sister said her son was the same way the first time she had to leave him at day care!
Keep up the good work!!! :)
Aww I remember my first day back to work after I had Charlotte. She was 4 months old and was with my mil, but I bawled the whole half hour to work! It sure gets easier though. By the way, glad to have you back!
