Check out my sidebar! I figured out how to make a button and a scroll box with HTML code in it!! And to think I just barely passed C++ programming in high school.
Moving on...
Lil' Mootz had his two month check-up this morning. Oh my, oh my he is growing so fast! He weighed 13 lbs. 12 oz. Three pounds in one month! He is 24.5 inches long which is 1.75 inches bigger than a month ago. He is in the 75 percentile with his weight and 90 percentile with his height. Last month he was in the 90 percentile with his weight and 90 percentile with his height. This totally leads me to believe that he's going to be just like his daddy, tall and thin (Stonewall is a 6 foot beanpole). (But a sexy beanpole, my Baby Daddy;))
Lil' Mootz is wonderfully healthy and the doc said he was a perfect baby. Lil' Mootz also had to get two shots. Yeah, he didn't like that so much. His little face scrunched up and turned bright red and he screamed a silent scream. I felt so bad when he finally looked at me with his tear filled eyes. Of course, once I was able to pick him up, he burrowed his nose in my shoulder and calmed down. My poor little man.And finally...
My mom, sister, MIL, and I took an Infant CPR class last night. I found it really helpful. I feel so much better now knowing that I have some knowledge on how to help my Lil' Mootz should he start choking or become unresponsive and stop breathing. The other part of the class I found...interesting...was realizing I have survived just about every hazard parents are warned about. The instructor was going through a list of hazards/warnings that every parent should know about so as to keep their baby healthy and well, alive. And of course, as she was going through the list, my mom kept shaking her head and laughing because she had a story involving me as a baby for, what seemed to be every item on the list.
1. You should know what to do should your baby start choking: While my mom and I were still in the hospital right after I was born, my mom was breastfeeding me and I started choking. As my mom describes it: My face began to blow up like a balloon and my lips started turning blue, so my mom runs out into the hall screaming, "My baby! Somebody help my baby!" The nurse took me from my mom's arms, turned my over onto my stomach and bopped me once on the back. My face went back to normal and all was well.
2. You should keep all poisonous items out of the child's reach: My mom was changing the bag in the diaper pail and she set the lid of the pail on the floor (where I happened to be sitting) and left to throw out the full bag. When she came back into the room she found me sitting on the floor eating the diaper pail deodorizer. 911 told her to take me to the ER immediately. While I was in the hospital they had to give me ipecac in a bottle to make me throw up. Apparently, I was none to thrilled with this and kept refusing the bottle.3. You should make sure that all stairways are properly blocked by a child-proof gate: As the story goes, I was following my dad around and at one point I thought he had gone down the stairs, so I squeezed under the homemade gate they had put up. Once I got to the other side, I proceeded to tumble down about twenty steps and on the way down I hit a motorcycle helmet that then followed me down the steps. My parents watches as I reached the bottom and the helmet hit the final step and bounced in an arch right over me.
So those are my tales of survival. I think the instructor wanted to invite my mom to the next class as a sort of example of what not to do. :) I used most of my nine lives before the age of two, so I have to be extra careful now.

That is too funny about your mom!
I have always felt guilty I never did that class and really should see about signing up.
Yeah for Lil' Mootz and growing so well!
Goodness lots going on! My education required a child safety/cpr class. I think everyone should know it though :)
