Shhh! You'll Wake The Baby!

This is a warning to all those women out there who have yet to have babies. Babies will fall asleep and take a two hour nap when the TV is blaring, you're talking on the phone, the dogs are at the window barking at the wind, and the dishwasher is running. All at the same time, too.

But the second it is peaceful and quiet and you're ready to climb into bed for the night, don't cough or clear your throat. Do not stand beside your baby's crib and whisper, "I Love You." Don't walk across the hall to the bathroom and step on that one spot that creaks. And don't even think about flushing the toilet. These barely there noises, while NOT occuring simaltaneously, are like shotguns going off and will, in almost all instances, wake the baby.

At least in my house, it never fails.

Oh my goodness, what a hilarious face!! I know it's probably not funny when you're trying to go to bed, but it's funny to me. :)

Awww! My mom used to vacuum under our cribs and constantly make noise just to force us to learn to sleep through it. Worked for my baby brother and not for me, haha! I blame her for my insomnia now :)

A-freaking-MEN!!

ACE is the same way!! I remember when we moved him from his bassinet and put him in his crib (he was 3 or 4 months) and I was able to brush my teeth without crouching in a corner and brushing as slow as possible, for fear of waking him. Oh, it was pure bliss!! Now he sleeps in his room, in his crib with a fan going and a noise making on set to "waterfall". That lil turkey isn't waking up until he's good and ready, not because of some sound. But I swear, I go in there to get more hangers from his closet, to pick up his room, or to just watch him and it's like he can hear the air movement from the door opening, it's rediculous! lol

I babtsat the other day..my friend's baby and I had to be sooooo cautious not to wake the angel like baby sleeping in my living room. Every time he moved I thought he'd wake up and I couldn't get any quieter. He slept for a good hour and 1/2 so not bad for someone who hasn't had kids yet...mission accomplished!!!
