Just a few things:
The Chincoteague and Carsley Giveaway ends today! I'll have Carsley pick a name tomorrow once we get settled in. In only seems fitting that Carsley draws the name while we're in Chincoteague, right? I'm taking the computer with me, so I'll post the winner as soon as I can.
Also, Lil' Mootz's Monthly Top Commenter contest begins tomorrow!! I'll post details tomorrow. This month's prize is a good one. I'm already jealous of the winner because it's totally a prize I want.
Did I mention I got a new toy? Not necessarily specifically for this vacation, but it'll come in handy.

And finally, why do stores stop selling summer things in the middle of summer? I realize parents and students want to get a jump on buying fall items for school (which doesn't start for at least a whole month, so way to be overly prepared), but some of us still live in the present and want flip flops and summer dresses right now. By the time Lil' Mootz is old enough for school I'm going to be doing his fall school shopping in February.

I know! I hate that stores stop selling summer stuff around this time. However, I do love sweaters....maybe that's why my winter wardrobe is so much nicer than my summer.

I feel your pain on the whole store thing. Up here I notice it more in the winter, they have swim suits out in March when we are still shoveling snow and well not only am I not ready to wear a swim suit but my mind frame isnt in the right place. But if you dont get it then you wont get one. Pisses me off. And its very annoying with kids stuff cause they can have a growth spurt at the drop of a hat and then your screwed.

Sometimes it's not our fault! We're currently almost out of kids sandals for the summer... not because we want to be, but because the manufacter actually didn't produce enough! So many of our vendors cut down the amount they produced this year, that we're actually struggling pretty hard to get ANYTHING in stock for people.
The Garmin is awesome. I have something similar on my phone and LOVE it. Couldn't live without it!

Hobby Lobby here already has their Christmas stuff out. Now since I love Christmas going there puts me in a great mood. But, you won't catch me in that store in November when they break out the spring stuff!!!
