His fever started on Sunday, so if things go according to plan, he should all better by Thursday. The fever is accompanied by sore throat and a headache. They took a throat culture to test for strep throat. If things don't go according to plan, I'll get a call tomorrow afternoon letting me know my child needs antibiotics for strep throat.
Stonewall is on the uphill to recovery. Sunday night he started getting what I had earlier last week. He spent all day yesterday curled up in a little ball.
Does anyone else's husband revert to a two-year old when he is sick? It flummoxes me that a man who has slept in the dirt in the freezing cold, gone for days without a shower, and survived the elements with whatever he can strap on his back, thinks the world is going to end because he has a stomach virus. Heck, it doesn't even have to be a stomach virus. He's told me he's dying with a head cold.
So, anyway...
I'm thinking I have to set fire to our house to kill all the germs. We're living in a petri dish of bacteria and viruses. I did buy about 5 cans of disinfectant, so that will either kill off the germs or act as a fuel for the fire.

My husband does the SAME THING. He's tough, get 'er done army guy, and then he gets the sniffles. All of a sudden he needs the little wifey to take care of him while he wallows in misery.
hope everyone gets better soon!
I think all men do that! Does he do the death moan too?? "Ohhhh, ohhhh. I'm dying." Wusses. It's why women have the babies, we can handle it!
My hubs got the stomach flu when I was 7 months pregnant with our first. I had to rub his back and lay in bed and hold him (no lie), but when I caught it - on Christmas Eve, no less - he brought me two Tylenol, a garbage can, and the cat, instructing the feline to "take care of Mom". He then went in the living room to watch TV.
I think all men turn into big babies when they're sick. My husband craves so much attention when he's sick, it's sorta pathetic but cute lol. Hope both your guys get better soon!
My husband isn't a total baby, but he starts mixing himself drug cocktails. He used to write me prescriptions and send me off to the store to get some super strong drugs. Now, I refuse and we take my approach of a few drugs and let nature take its course.
Yes! Men turn into babies and just want to be cared for when they're sick, especially the really manly men. Out comes the scarf, hot water bottle, movies, hot tea and popsicles at the slightest little cough or sniffle. While women continue to cook, clean, work, grocery shop, feed the cat and care for the kids while they themselves run a 102 fever.
Must be a weird Freudian Mom-issue thing.
Something is going around! I have laryngitis and other people at work and friends are sick too...
I'd rather be sick than deal with my husband when he is sick. He's worse than a little kid.
Poor guy! I hope he starts feeling better soon. There is nothing worse then a sick baby. Boo!
BTW...your make-over is H.O.T!!!!! Me likey!!!!
Oh yes! Sick man = baby! Actually, a sick man is WORSE than a baby! When we were dating, Hubs got food poisoning that laid him out for several days. One of those days, we were supposed to have dinner with my parents. Since Hubs couldn't move, I went alone and told my parents he was sick. Of course, I never heard the end of it, because I "abandoned" him when he was "dying".... Really? We weren't married and didn't live together...did he honestly think I'd put my whole life on hold because he had a tummy ache?!
*LOL* Too funny! But, I've got to agree with Stonewall that being sick is no fun. I hope he and Lil Mootz are both better soon.
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear they're both sick! Hopefully it'll be over soon! Good luck with the disinfecting.
Dissinfect, then burn down the house, just incase the germs spread with the smoke in the wind.
On a more serious note, I hope everyone feels better soon!
Ha, I become a baby too and actually like taking care of sickly boyfriends. Makes me feel needed in some weird way. Hope everyone gets better soon!
do you have AC? apparently viruses have a hard time living in the cold - freeze em out LOL :D
Oh my husband is such a baby when he's sick, sometimes I feel like he tries to see how pitiful he can sound with just a basic head cold.
