My Day As A Pin-Up Girl!

My sister's friend, Nicole, is getting married in September.  Her friends, being the awesome people that they are, planned a pin-up photo session for her bachelorette party.  And because they needed one more girl to get the group discount, they asked me to go along.  Abso-friggin'-lutely!

On Saturday, we head to Philly in a gorgeous white limo for our session at Celeste Giuliano Photography.

First of all, Celeste is AMAZING!  She is super friendly and she makes everyone feel completely at ease.  She totally understands that many of her clients are not models, so she guides you through your entire photo session. She has you chose a theme ahead of time, so she has everything you need for your photo session before you even arrive.

When we first arrived at her studio, she had us all try on different outfits that would work with our individual themes, so we could pick which outfit we liked best.  She has everything: dresses, frilly underroos, stockings, garters, jewelry, high-heels... She even has plus-size clothing, so I didn't have to worry that I wouldn't be able to find anything to wear.

After getting our clothing situated, our hair and make-up was done by Raina who owns Teased Salon.  She specializes in styling retro hair, so watching her work was so neat.  She just curled, sprayed, teased, brushed, and viola! Pin-up hair!

The photo session was so much fun!  Celeste keeps a closed studio, so it's just you and her when the camera is out.  That definitely took some of the pressure off.  Celeste had me try out different poses.  There was also a very specific pin-up picture I wanted to copy (so to speak) because my theme was chosen with Stonewall in mind, so Celeste made sure to get the perfect shot.

I'm sure you're tired of reading and are ready for some photos!  These are just random shots we took as we were lounging in Celeste's studio.  The proofs won't be available for about another two weeks.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Celeste will give me permission to post one or two of those since I know that's what you-all really want to see! (If you want to see some actual pin-up photos that Celeste has taken, check out her gallery.)

BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS

Nicole, the bride-to-be.  Her theme revolved around baking a pie.

Erin, a bridesmaid.  Her theme was weighing herself and secretly drinking a milkshake.

I'm sure you all recognize my little sis, Megan.  Her theme was auto mechanic/cars.  Dru was very specific about the poses he wanted to see her in.

Bekah's theme was football.  She brought along football pads and a helmet.  Celeste was very relieved, from what I hear, that Bekah did not want to to wear the pads.

And everyone knows me.  I'm not telling my theme...yet.  It's a surprise for Stonewall.  It's super cute though, I promise.

Nicole wearing her veil.

Meg and me hanging out...looking sexy and big breasted.

Meg and Nicole enjoying some champagne during the limo ride home.

Our pin-up faces!
We all had a blast and I know we all want to do it again.  Celeste also does glamour portraits and I really want to do that.  I'm hoping I can convince Stonewall that's what my birthday present should be.

Check out more of Celeste at her Facebook page.  If she puts up any shots of us I'll be sure to let you know!

I love it! And you look great! I've always wanted pin-up portraits done, but couldn't find anyone in the area to do them, so I instead went for the boudoir photos. It's a great experience and I'm glad I did it. I bet you are too!

I'm jealous. I used to love looking at Pinuptoons online. It would be so cool to look like that if even for just a day.

LOVE this! I love vintage styles and think it would be so fun to do something like this. Our engagement photos were WWII vintage themed! Great photos and thanks for sharing.

Too bad you didn't have an old classic car to have your photos made on. It seems everyone in the 50's had their picture made at least once on an old black chevy. Of course, the chevy could have been red or blue for all we really know - the photo was black & white so you really couldn't tell.
