MilSpouse Friday Fill-In: If You Don't Have A Book, Print Out My Blog

I know it's been quite a long time since I participated in Wifey's MilSpouse Friday Fill-In.  I figured I could use some social interaction and who better to socialize with than fellow MilSpouses?

1.What do you usually want to know about someone when meeting them for the first time?

It really depends on where I am...
At work, usually a new employee:  How much of a pain in my a** are you going to be?  Are you the type to handle your own business or I am I going to have to call your mother for you to figure out your social security number?
At an Army thing, another Officer: Do I have to kiss your a** to keep my husband in your good graces?;
a spouse: Are you a nice spouse or a d**k measuring spouse?
Waiting (impatiently) in line or something, a complete stranger: Does my face really say, "Please talk to me right now?"
Social gatherings, fellow partygoer: Are you having a good time? (aka If I hang with you, will I never want to leave or will I want to throw myself out the window in 5 minutes?)

2.Would you rather know everything about your spouse, or be regularly surprised?
Once again, depends on the situation...
"My lovely wife, did I ever tell you making you breakfast in bed is the perfect way to start my weekend?" Keep the surprises coming...
"My lovely wife, did I ever tell you it was my life long goal to live in Antartica and I just bought an igloo there? Start packing!" Not so much.

3.If you could live in one city for the rest of your life, where would you live?
This is kind of a tough one... I'm going to have to go with Chincoteague, VA.  It's such a quaint and fairly quiet town, plus it's on the beach.  There isn't much to do, but I could definitely get into the small town life.  That being said, I will probably spend my whole life living in the same city I've lived in for the past 29 years.
4.When you go out of town, what one material thing do you ALWAYS take?
A book.  You never know where you'll end up, how long it will take you to get there or how long you'll be waiting on traffic, delayed flights, or delayed people.  Plus, once you get there, it might just end up being boring and one should always have something interesting to read to pass the time. (Hence the title :))

5.Using no more than 10 nouns, and ONLY nouns, describe yourself.
Wife, Mommy (to humans and dogs), Family-Girl, Book-Lover, Writer, Practical-Dreamer, Party-Planner, Organized-Mess, Shopper, Capricorn
(I'm also a bit of a rule maker as you can tell by my hyphens.  Hyphens make 2 words 1 in my world.)

Head on over to Wife of a Sailor to play along!

You made me laugh. :) The title of your blog post today was great!

And yeah, that is so true when meeting people, I wonder too about how carefully I need to walk.

I love your breakdown of #1! Oh, so true! And "practial-dreamer" is a great description, and I dare to say something we all should be!

I really wish you participated every week. You crack me up like an egg on a rickshaw in India.

OoOO, I've been to Chincoteague Island! My Hubby and I were living at Ft. Eustis and we ventured out that way one weekend and lost track of time. We ended up staying at the Chincoteague Inn Motel! I would love to go back someday. Lemme know if you end up living there forever. LOL.
