I wanted to post photos of my sister's nursery today, but I didn't get all the photos edited. Even though editing takes up so much time, I just love making them all vibrant and shiny! Instead, here's a little conversation Stonewall and I had the other day. As usual, the Army leaves me in a state of confusion...
Stonewall was sent home from work last week because he was sick, running a fever, dehydrated, etc. He calls me to let me know what's going on...
Stonewall: They're sending me home from work. I'm on Quarters.
Me: You're sick and bouncing quarters into shot glasses?
Stonewall: What?
Me: Quarters. You know, the drinking game.
Stonewall: No. I'm on Quarters. They sent me home with a note saying I had to stay home for 72 hours.
Me: That doesn't make any sense. Quarters would indicate four days. If they send you home for 72 hours, that should be called Thirds.
Stonewall: *Silence*
Me: What? The Army makes absolutely no sense sometimes.
Seriously, it seems like simple algebra to me.

The Army confuses me, too! I'm beginning to catch on to the military time, but have to stop and think every time someone says PWOC, DCD, ASYMCA, ACS, MWR or FRG.
I think is Stonewall had called me and said he was on quarters I might think he was on the roof of the barracks or something.
Maybe they meant he was restricted to his quarters (housing) for 72 hours?!? Otherwise, I got nothin'! Hope Stonewall's not a big baby (like my Hubs) when he's sick! :-)
I love your brain.
