Hittin' Some Balls

I know I promised baby shower pictures today, but it's just not going to happen.  I'm about half way through editing them, so tomorrow should be the day.  I hope so.  I'm just as anxious as you are to get them up, so you can all see how awesome everything was.

The reason I'm not going to get them all editing and posted today is because I'm leaving to play tennis in about an hour.

Yep, you read that right. Tennis.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned in passing once or twice that I used to play tennis.  My mom and I started playing the summer before my sophomore year in college.  I wouldn't say we were good or anything, but we got to the point where we could hit the ball (most of the time) and we could aim the ball in the right direction (most of the time).  We even started playing as a doubles team and we won....no (*chuckle snort*) we didn't win.  But we didn't always completely embarrass ourselves, I'll give us that.

Anyway...

We stopped playing when I was about six months pregnant with Lil Mootz.  So now after two and a half years we've decided to get back into the swing of things.  And tonight is our first night.

Yikes.

I just got done pulling my racquet out of the basement.  It appears to be in working order.  Although when I tried to clean the handle it started peeling off.  Ew.  I also found two and a half year old chapstick and $4 in my racquet case.   

I'm betting one of us falls at least once and we both get smacked with a ball and/or racquet.  At any rate, it should be interesting.
