Happiness Is...

Sometimes I forget the little moments of happiness in my life.  Yet, these are the moments that get me from day to day.

Happiness is...

...a good stretch in the morning.
...remembering a dream I had the night before.
...a mug of Caramel Pear hot tea.
...putting a funny note in your lunchbox.
...knowing all the words to a song.
...realizing I didn't know all the words to a song, but thinking my version was funnier anyway.
...a crying, noisy, laughing, playing toddler.
    ...a sleeping toddler.
...a kiss that leaves me breathless.
...knowing I'm doing what is right.
...making a difference.
...making a difference even to just one person.
...dancing to my favorite song.
...dancing in my living room even if there is no song.
...reading a book before bedtime.
...wet sloppy baby kisses.
...getting hit by inspiration.
...remembering the inspiration when I finally get to my computer.
...smiling.
...smiling even when it seems impossible.
...a shower that is almost too hot.
...making dinner.
   ...not burning dinner.
...an empty sink.
...75 minutes until the dishwasher cycle is complete.
...folded laundry.
   ...someone else folding my laundry.
...hanging out with my mom.
...the smell of warm clothes fresh out of the dryer.
...pooping.
...trying on my jewelry.
   ...getting new jewelry.
...best friends.
...traveling to see my best friend.
...new shoes.
...the other pair of new shoes that I didn't really need.
...little fingerprints on the back door.
...learning a new word.
...taking my hair down at the end of the day.
...a snow day.
...cuddling with my puppies.
...looking skinnier in my Spanx.
...getting to take the Spanx off at the end of the night.
...singing really, really, really loudly with you in the car.
...hanging up a favorite picture.
...hanging up a picture straight and centered the first time around
...turning on the fireplace.
...starting a book.
...getting lost in a really good book.
...writing.
...playing in the rain.
...peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches.
...hearing the word, "Mommy."
...I love you.
...having a sister.
...having a sister who's my best friend.
...a road trip.
...finding re-runs of favorite oldies on TV.
...a foot rub.
   ...a pedicure at Hershey Spa.
...cupcakes.
...family.
   ...in-laws.
...cool white sheets.
...my teddy bear.
...watching my baby sleep.

What are some of your little moments of happiness?

A lot of things seem to make you happy! You should be the happiest girl on earth.

It takes a lot to excite me - but then, it takes a lot to really get under my skin, too. I guess I'm boring.

I really want to drink tea but I can't find one that doesn't taste good unless you add sugar.
